Frequently asked questions

What is a day and night shade?

It combines two fabrics on one shade — a lighter fabric for daytime light and a darker one for night privacy — so one window covering does both jobs.

Can day and night shades be motorized?

Yes. They can be ordered with manual, cordless or motorized operation.

How do I choose the right fabric and control for my room?

Think about how much light and privacy the room needs, how often the window is used and how easy it is to reach. Bedrooms often suit blackout fabrics, living spaces suit light-filtering or solar fabrics, and tall or hard-to-reach windows are good candidates for motorization. We bring samples to every consultation so you can compare in your own light.

Do you measure and install, or can I do it myself?

Both. Our team can professionally measure and install in the Halifax and Charlottetown areas, or you can follow our step-by-step measuring guide and order made-to-measure online.
