Frequently asked questions

Do honeycomb shades help with heating and cooling?

Their cell structure traps a layer of air at the window, which helps reduce heat loss in winter and heat gain in summer — useful in Atlantic Canada's climate.

Can honeycomb shades fit unusual windows?

Yes. They can be made for skylights, arches and angled windows, and offered top-down bottom-up, cordless or motorized.

How do I choose the right fabric and control for my room?

Think about how much light and privacy the room needs, how often the window is used and how easy it is to reach. Bedrooms often suit blackout fabrics, living spaces suit light-filtering or solar fabrics, and tall or hard-to-reach windows are good candidates for motorization. We bring samples to every consultation so you can compare in your own light.

Do you measure and install, or can I do it myself?

Both. Our team can professionally measure and install in the Halifax and Charlottetown areas, or you can follow our step-by-step measuring guide and order made-to-measure online.
