Panel shades (also called panel blinds or panel tracks) are ideal for large windows, sliding glass doors, and room dividers. They consist of large fabric panels that glide along a multi-channel track system, providing elegant coverage and smooth operation. Our 2026 Designer Panel Shade Collection features bold, colorful fabrics in blackout and room-darkening options with a heat-sealed hem bar for a polished finish.
All panel shade fabrics offer 100% blackout with heat-sealed hem bars. Available in Price Groups C and D for standard and premium selections.
Panel shades are typically used on large openings. Accurate measurements are critical for proper coverage and smooth track operation.
Width: Measure the total width of the opening or area to cover. Add 2"–4" on each side for outside mounts.
Height: Measure from the top of the track to the desired bottom. Panels hang from the track — the panel height equals the drop length.
Panels: The number of panels is determined by the opening width divided by the desired panel width (typically 18"–24" each).
Stack Space: Allow sufficient wall space beside the door for panels to stack when fully open.
Overlap: Order panels 2"–3" wider than the opening to ensure complete coverage when closed.
