Double rollers carry twice the weight and need careful bracket alignment so the front and back fabrics never rub. Plan on 45–60 minutes per window.
Difficulty: Moderate to advanced (two rollers require careful alignment). Time required: 45–60 minutes per window.
Prepare your tools: Drill, spirit level, tape measure, pencil, screwdriver, wood + masonry bits and wall plugs if needed.
Mark bracket positions: For inside mounts, mark bracket positions inside the recess. For outside mounts, extend 75–100 mm beyond the frame. Use a level to ensure perfect horizontal alignment.
Install top brackets: Pre-drill holes and secure the upper brackets — these hold the front roller. Confirm level before tightening.
Install lower brackets: Below the top brackets, install the lower brackets for the back roller. Leave enough vertical space so neither tube interferes with the other.
Insert front blind: Slide the front blind into the upper bracket slots. Pin end to the pin bracket; chain or motor to the matching bracket.
Insert back blind: Slide the back blind into the lower bracket slots, again aligning pin and motor ends correctly.
Check float and clearance: Each blind should have 1.5–2 mm of left-right movement (float). Too tight: adjust brackets outward. Too loose: adjust inward.
Test both blinds: Operate each blind independently several times. Both should move without binding or rubbing the other fabric.
Secure control cords: Anchor both chains/cords with the supplied child-safety devices. Never leave loose cords within reach.
Double blinds are heavier than single blinds — anchor brackets into studs or use heavy-duty wall plugs. Misaligned brackets cause rubbing. Both child-safety cords must be anchored.
Almost always a bracket alignment issue. Loosen the lower brackets and shift them 2–3 mm forward or backward.
Yes — and you can control them as one group or independently from the same remote.
Two — one per blind, on the same side or opposite sides depending on what's easiest to reach.
Front (room-side). That protects the sheer behind it and gives the cleanest layered look from inside.
