How to Install Motorized Blinds

Motorized blinds install the same way as a manual roller — with the added step of pairing the motor and setting upper/lower limits.

Difficulty: Moderate (DIY-friendly). Time required: 30–60 minutes per window (extra time for app setup).

Charge or wire the motor: Battery tubes: charge to 100% before install. Hardwired: confirm power is OFF at the breaker before connecting.

Mark and level brackets: Mark bracket positions with a pencil and confirm level. Motorized brackets need 80 mm of recess depth.

Pre-drill and secure brackets: Pre-drill pilot holes and screw brackets to frame or wall, using plugs for masonry.

Insert the blind: Slide the motor end into the motor bracket first, then click the idle end into the pin bracket.

Pair the remote: Hold the pair button on the remote and the motor's reset button until the blind jogs. Repeat for each channel.

Set upper and lower limits: Use the remote to drive the blind to the desired top position, save as upper limit. Repeat for the lower limit. The motor will stop at these points automatically.

Connect to your hub (optional): Open the supplied app, scan for the hub, and add each blind by channel. Group blinds by room for easier voice control.

Test cycles and child safety: Run the blind up and down 3–4 times to confirm both limits hold. Confirm there are no exposed cords (none on motorized — the safest option for kids and pets).

Hardwired motors must be installed with the breaker OFF. Don't operate the blind until both limits are set or the motor can drive into the bracket and damage the tube.

Frequently asked questions

How do I set the limits?

Drive the blind to the top, hold the limit button on the motor (or in the app) to save. Repeat for the bottom.

Can I use the same remote for multiple blinds?

Yes — most remotes support 5–15 channels plus a 'group' channel that controls all of them at once.

How do I integrate with HomeKit / Google / Alexa?

Use the supplied hub. Pair the hub to your Wi-Fi, then add it as a device in the smart-home app.

What if the motor stops responding?

Reset the motor using the small button on the head, then re-pair the remote. App-controlled blinds: power-cycle the hub first.
